Our goal is to understand vocalizing biodiversity in human-dominated and protected landscapes across India.

Project Dhvani studies the sound of animals and places, also called bioacoustics, to better understand the relationship between vocalising biodiversity and forest management over time, and provide data-driven insights into India’s conservation efforts.
We began this auditory journey in 2018. Since then we have collected data to understand how vocalising biodiversity relates to forest and wildlife management.
Our research ➜
Project Dhvani has established field sites in and around three national parks, which are a part of critical conservation landscapes and biodiversity hotspots in India.
